SUSAN OLDER, founder of Dis­placed Jour­nal­ists, is an inde­pen­dent writer and edi­tor based in Wash­ing­ton, D.C. She writes about global pol­i­tics, media, cul­ture, health and technology.

Susan has served as a found­ing edi­tor of USA Today, man­ag­ing edi­tor of The Gan­nett New Media Group, found­ing edi­tor of Inter@ctive Week (now part of eWeek), exec­u­tive edi­tor of Glob­alvi­sion News Net­work and editor-in-chief of United Press Inter­na­tional. She was a pio­neer in the new media arena and has served as chief con­tent direc­tor for a vari­ety of onine ventures.
