SUSAN OLDER, founder of Displaced Journalists, is an independent writer and editor based in Washington, D.C. She writes about global politics, media, culture, health and technology.

Susan has served as a founding editor of USA Today, managing editor of The Gannett New Media Group, founding editor of Inter@ctive Week (now part of eWeek), executive editor of Globalvision News Network and editor-in-chief of United Press International. She was a pioneer in the new media arena and has served as chief content director for a variety of onine ventures.
